In 2006, the GCU campus, which occupies 95 acres, received a $150 million makeover including a brick promenade, an aquatics center, with Olympic-size pool, a café offering an assortment of drinks, games and big-screen televisions. A new dormitory, expanded classroom facilities and a new library are currently in the works. Construction of a new 4,000 - 5,000 seat event center will take place over the next two years. The event center will be used for the university's basketball games, Christian music concerts and other community events.

Students at GCU are represented by several clubs and organizations. Each club represents a unique interest, both educational and academic in nature. Examples of particular relevance to graduate students include: the Christian Ministries Association, Hispanic Student Union, Institute of Management Accountants, Psychology club, and the Student Nurses Association.
